Some directories cost money in order to be accepted into their listings. Once again, while some of these can pass legitimate value, others pass little and aren't worth your time or money. Keyword research can be time-consuming, but rewarding when done properly. There is still a correlation between high rankings and the amount of backlinks, but this trend will continue to decrease moving forwards. The anchor text section clearly shows what text the links pointing to a website has. This is an opportunity to take a look and make sure that the website does not have a spammy anchor text profile.
More traffic is a positive sign to Google too

If you ever start to run into problems with getting your link posted, it may be useful to use a few link shorteners or some 301 redirects. Google and other search engines also use the text of the URL of the page

phrase in the URL of the web page - either the folder/directory structure or the
HTML file/page name itself. With all that said…SEO is still all about content and links. Without amazing content, you’ll never get links. And without links, you won’t crack the first page.
Link acquisition is an ongoing investment

The best thing you can do is encourage your customers to leave reviews if they’re satisfied with your service. Provide high-quality content on your pages, especially your homepage. This is the single most important thing to do. If your pages contain useful information, their content will attract many visitors and entice webmasters to link to your site. Take a look at which sites are currently winning the front page for the phrase you are hoping to win. Then, go ahead and link to a few of them within your own content. It can be within the body of the text, or you can include a few links at the bottom with a “More on This Subject” type of call to action (CTA). It may seem like this could lead eyes to a direct competitor, but don’t be afraid to break the mold and link to them anyway. SEO for small businesses doesn’t need to be complicated. You can improve your visibility in search engines and get visitors to your business’s website by focusing on 4 things – keyword selection, creating good content, on-site optimisation, and backlinks.
